Desdian glared out at the monkeys. He hated monkeys. They were so foolish and annoying. He walked past them with a disgusted sniff. He continued on until he reached the big cats' area. He stopped at the tigers. The two enclosures were across from each other- the white bengal tigers and the orange bengal tigers. As he walked between the two enclosures, the tigers from either side flocked to the wall closest to Desdian. He walked to the orange tigers first, resting his hand on the glass for a few minutes. Then he moved on to the white tigers. He lingered longer here. He leaned his whole body against the glass. A few passers-by stared at him and whispered. A few even took pictures or asked for his autograph. But he didn't care what they thought or did, he ignored them all. This was what he had come here for. Someone seemed to think Desdian was doing something suspicious and told a zookeeper that he had seen a strange man doing something suspicious at the tiger exhibits. The zookeeper followed the man who had told tipped him of to the suspicious behavior. He laughed when he saw the person the man had been talking about. He walked up to Desdian. "Afternoon Desdian. As good with the tigers as always, I see."
Desdian glanced up at the zookeeper. "Of course I am. We are one of the same." The zookeeper laughed again and turned to the man. "Desdian is like our own private tiger whisperer. He comes here everyday. The tigers love him." Desdian looked at the man for a second, then looked back at the tigers, that were staring at him adoringly.

Why the zoo? Why had he decided on going to the zoo? It was his day off once again and he had decided upon going to the zoo, once again a very loud place full of people and small children. And to top off the wonderful trip to the zoo, he had been followed by a clowder of cats. They had just kept flocking toward him as he walked towards the zoo. Even as he walked through the zoo the cats found some way to follow him into there. He could see people staring at him as he was followed by so many cats, and small children laughed at him.
Irritated, he tried to find the area of the zoo that was least populated and relax. He also wanted to get rid of the cats that were following him as soon as possible. But the cats just wouldn't leave him alone, so he decided to ignore them as best as he could, and headed toward the feline section of the park. Lions, leopards, servals, cheetahs, and tigers. There were plenty of smaller felines too, but the bigger ones were all that he busied himself with. There were a group of people standing crowded around the enclosure made specifically for the white tigers that the park kept.
Minoru stared at the group and raised an eyebrow. Standing next to the glass was a strange boy with platinum blonde, almost white, hair. He had pressed himself up against the glass of the enclosure and the tigers were all over the glass trying to get closer to him. He fiddled with the beaded bracelet on his wrist and the cats surrounding him stared up at him curiously. He shooed them away absentmindedly and walked up to the group. The people however decided to get even more in his way and kept him from getting closer to the boy.
He snarled quietly to himself as a couple of cats had darted through the legs of the people surrounding him and were pressing themselves up against his legs, further hindering any movement he wished to make without tripping over a cat. Shooing them away once more, Minoru attempted to cut through the people once again.
Finally, he popped out on the other side of the group of onlookers. He stared at the boy until he felt cats swarm around him once again. What was it with these things?
"f**k! Leave me alone you annoying clods of fur! I'm not interested in giving you attention!" The people stared at him, curious and appalled by his behavior. He didn't care though, and standing there the people dispersed, the cats as well. He looked back up at the kid who seemed to be younger than himself.
"So. Tigers flock to you as cats do to me. Interesting."

Desdian glanced up at the disturbance in the crowd. He couldn't see what it was past all the people crowding him. He quickly turned his head back to the tigers behind the glass as the protested loudly about losing his attention. They calmed down a little bit though, as Desdian gave them his full attention again. "f**k! Leave me alone you annoying clods of fur! I'm not interested in giving you attention!"Desdian heard this comment and looked for it's source. Finally he found a boy with brownish-red hair. The boy was scaring away cats that seemed to have been following him. Desdian was stirred to emotion and nearly shouted at the boy. He loved cats. They were like a smaller, domesticated version of himself and his tigers. For someone to be so cruel to them was upsetting to Desdian. It was like hitting his little siblings. "So. Tigers flock to you as cats do to me. Interesting."He thingyed his head. Cats follow this creep? He wouldn't if he was a cat. But th─ Wait. What did he mean by 'tigers follow you like cats follow me'? Did that mean that he had noticed about the tigers?! But no one else had ever noticed! How could this complete stranger that he had never seen before notice something that people he saw every day never noticed! No way. It was all just a coincidence. It meant nothing. Through his whole thought process he never showed any expression on his face.

So, he was going to be quiet, huh? That was fine with Minoru. Quiet people were the best kind of people. He turned to watch the tigers in the enclosure, growling as some cats had come back and were rubbing all over his legs. He would have to give his jeans a good scrub to get all of the cat hair off of the bottom of his pants. He picked up one of the cats and held it up to his face. Sure, cats were all cute and fuzzy, but they just got so annoying after a while of following you around.
"I suppose you don't have to worry about tigers following you all around town. These little things, despite being so cute (which I hate to admit), they're actually quite annoying." He grumbled and set the cat down. Sure, they were annoying, but he wasn't going to be cruel and harm the small things. He looked back up at the boy. "Alright, I can tell you're confused. You should probably work on hiding your emotions better than that." Minoru smirked and stood up, stretching and tapping a finger on the glass. He watched the tigers carefully, but they didn't react as much as they did around the other boy.
The cat shrugged and leaned against the wall, waiting for the boy to speak. If he would even speak. He started messing with the bracelet on his wrist, remembering his conversation with that orange-haired guy. There were twelve others that were similar to him, possibly, each with a different animal. He hadn't even contemplated that this boy was possibly one of the other twelve. However, the tigers were adoring him quite a lot, like cats adored him.
Maybe he was the tiger.

Alright, I can tell you're confused. You should probably work on hiding your emotions better than that. Desdian was confused about this new person. But what confused him even more than that was the fact that the boy had noticed his emotions. No one had ever been able to read his emotions. Desdian contemplated this new development carefully. He was still trying to decide whether or not to respond. While trying to decide how to react, Desdian noticed the bracelet the boy was looking at. It was an odd looking thing. He starred at it for a moment, then blinked and looked back at the boy. He searched his face, trying to find some ulterior motive to why this boy would speak to him. "What do you want?"

Okay, so it took the kid a while to respond, but at least he had something to work off of now. A green eye opened and looked at the strange boy. He had all but fallen asleep standing while the tiger boy had contemplated answering him.
"What do you want?"
Minoru chuckled and opened both of his eyes, stretching his arms over his head. "Oh, nothing much. Just wanted to ask you a few questions. Fir--" The cat was cut off as a large group of girls swarmed the two boys. Minoru's eyes widened. f**k. Girls were not something he wanted to deal with right now. They were squealing and trying to move around him to look at the tigers.
Shove, push, pull, hu-
Poof!
A small brown and tan cat with bright green eyes hissed in aggravation as it pushed out from the pile of clothing it had been stuck under. This was just not Minoru's day. Zoo, strange kid, girls, and now this. He should have just stayed at home. He turned and glared up at the tiger kid.
"You! This is all your fault!"

Oh, nothing much. Just wanted to ask you a few questions. Fir--Desdian's eyes widened. Oh crap! No! He didn't want to deal with a swarm of girls right now! He barely had enough patience to deal with the occasional person who came over and tried to talk to him! And besides at this rate some girl was going to end up─ Poof A large white tiger roared, standing over a pile of ripped and torn clothing. Crap, crap, crap, crap, crap. He had to get out of here fast. The tigers in their seperate exhibits were going crazy. He glanced around for a route of escape. His green eyes rested on a small brown and tan cat that was glaring at him. The girls were so loud that Desdian couldn't hear anything over them and the roaring of the tigers. But the moment he saw the little cat he couldn't control himself. He leapt over a few stray cats and grabbed the small cat by his scruff. He took him out of the crowd and darted away with the cat in his mouth. He stopped when he got to an empty picnic area. He dropped the cat on the grass gently and licked its head. He was so excited his tail was flicking back and forth. He purred and curled around the cat. Cat, cat, cat, cat, cat. He was so happy. He loved cats and this one was so cute! He just couldn't help himself.

Poof!
Suddenly, there was a giant white tiger in his face. He didn't even have time to comprehend why there was a large white tiger in front of him before it picked him up and ran off with him. Minoru hissed and waved his claws around as he dangled from the larger feline's muzzle by his scruff.
"Hey! HEY! Put me down!"
Apparently the cat was deaf, because he just kept on running away with him. Minoru definitely wasn't happy about this little event that had happened. He grumbled and continued to try and squirm from the tiger's grasp on his scruff. But he wasn't strong enough to move. Going limp, he sighed. And then he remembered something.
His clothes.
f**k! His clothes had been left back at the tiger enclosure. And what about mister tiger boy's? Probably ripped, considering the size of the white cat. Suddenly, he was set down on the ground and the tiger was staring at him, and it licked his head. Oh no, he knew this look. It was the same look most girls gave small cats. The white tiger was purring and had curled around him, trapping him between its paws.
"Hey you! Fluffball! Let me go!" Minoru hissed and nipped at the large paws of the tiger, trying to squirm and escape from the feline's paws. Pop! He had manages to squeeze out from the grip the tiger boy had on him.
"You! This is all your fault you know! What do you expect us to do now? You know we won't have any clothes when we turn back! You didn't have the sense to at least grab my clothes did you? No? I didn't think so! Sh*t, sh*t, sh*t, we're both going to be naked in the middle of the zoo when we turn back! And do you think they'll just let a tiger leave the zoo? We're screwed, so screwed. And it's all your fault!"

"Hey you! Fluffball! Let me go!"Desdian blinked and, coming back to his senses, he loosed his grip a bit on the struggling cat. As the cat slithered from his grasp a thought occurred to him. "Are you that guy I was just talking to?" He looked at the furious little cat and silently cursed his love for cats. This cat was just too cute! It wasn't fair. To be that cute and have such a bad temper. And it's all your fault!"He knew it was a bad time but he couldn't help feeling horribly amused. A tiny little house cat hissing and picking a fight with a huge white bengal tiger. Any person in their right mind would laugh at that. It was a good thing that Desdian loved cats so much, or this one might not last so long. The situation as it was, Desdian smiled a lopsided cat grin at the cat. "You may not have any clothes, but I am here everyday. I would have to be completely brain-dead not to keep spare clothes around the zoo. Especially since I just ripped mine. Now you on the other hand, I am guessing don't have any extra clothes along with you." He chuckled. "My name is Desdian by the way. Who are you? And why can you turn into a cat? I thought I was the only one who could turn into an animal. Is that why those cats were following you around?" He was still being fairly outgoing, still being a tiger and talking to a cat. He still couldn't stop thinking about how cute the cat was, even though it had a bad attitude. Actually the attitude made him seem even cuter.

"Are you that guy I was just talking to?"
"No, I'm just some random cat that can speak Japanese. Of course I'm the guy you were just talking to! 馬鹿虎!"
Minoru hissed at the large feline, not in the mood for such stupid questions. Had he really had to ask him if he was the same guy he had met earlier? Obviously he was. He hadn't met a cat yet who could speak fluent Japanese. All cats could speak in was meows and body language, not words. No, he was one of a kind.
Grumbling, he went back to contemplating what he was going to do about his clothing. He couldn't just leave it there, his cell phone and wallet were in his pockets, along with a good amount of money. No, he couldn't risk anyone stealing his possessions, and if he waited too long, someone would notice his clothes and report something to the zoo security. Clothes and possessions without an owner meant someone was running around the zoo naked. He wouldn't have any kind of a chance to get away then.
"You may not have any clothes, but I am here everyday. I would have to be completely brain-dead not to keep spare clothes around the zoo. Especially since I just ripped mine. Now you on the other hand, I am guessing don't have any extra clothes along with you."
"You guess correctly then. I don't come to the zoo very often. I don't even leave my house all that often. To have spare clothes at a zoo would be stupid for someone who rarely ever even comes here."
Minoru sighed and sat down on the ground, looking up at the large white bengal tiger. So, someone else could transform just as he could, and when he was hugged by a girl too. Well, that Kyo guy hadn't been lying then, there were others like himself. However, he was the only one to have the curse to such an extent as to turn into a monster. Such a lucky kid not to have to go through what he does...
"My name is Desdian by the way. Who are you? And why can you turn into a cat? I thought I was the only one who could turn into an animal. Is that why those cats were following you around?"
So many questions, this boy was going to give him a headache. He sighed and stretched along the ground, the joints in his shoulders popping. Minoru went back to looking at the boy who just introduced himself as Desdian, also glancing around to make sure no one had seen them yet.
"My name is Murakami Minoru. I'm a third year in high school, most likely older than you. I'm not sure why the cats follow me around, but turning into a cat seems like the most logical explanation. As for the transforming part in general, well..."
Minoru was slightly unsure how much he should tell the boy, since he himself was still quite uninformed about the whole curse thing. He figured that the simplest way would be best, but what was the simplest way?
"So, well.. Apparently there's eleven others like us, and we all embody the spirits of the zodiac or something like that. We'll transform when under stress or hugged by someone of the opposite gender who isn't part of the curse. See, I wasn't exactly told about a lot about this curse, but I did meet someone who had been cursed before us. And he's not exactly sure how we're going to break this curse either. Meh."

"No, I'm just some random cat that can speak Japanese. Of course I'm the guy you were just talking to! 馬鹿虎!"Desdian backed away and gave the little cat a hurt look. "No need to be mean about it. This is my first time meeting someone like me." He padded over to a picnic table and stuck his head under it. He pulled himself out after a few seconds and turned to pad back to the cat. He dropped the clothes and sat down. "I have some extra clothes you can use, at least until you get yours back.""You guess correctly then. I don't come to the zoo very often. I don't even leave my house all that often. To have spare clothes at a zoo would be stupid for someone who rarely ever even comes here."Desdian gave a little huff. No need to be so rude! But he shook himself. No point in getting upset, some people were just like that. "Guess that would be kinda silly, huh?" He chuckled. He laid out the spare pair of clothes the best he could while still a tiger. "Guess I'm the only one who spends so much time here....." He trailed of staring into space for a moment. "Well anyways, there you go.""My name is Murakami Minoru. I'm a third year in high school, most likely older than you. I'm not sure why the cats follow me around, but turning into a cat seems like the most logical explanation. As for the transforming part in general, well...""Minoru, huh? Your two years older than me." He blinked. Maybe they had met somewhere before. They might have passed each other in school or something like that. Meh."Desdian pondered the new-found information for a few minutes. He had decided to trust what Minoru told him, after all he was the only other person Des had met that could transform. And that meant something to someone who had kept himself isolated for a long time. It made him feel better to know that there was someone else who was like him.

Post by Kisa Sohma on Dec 18, 2011 21:16:52 GMT -5
Kisa walked through the zoo alone. It was a habit for her to look around at the animals, but specifically to visit the tiger habitat on an almost weekly basis. She was a former member of the Zodiac curse...having taken on the form of the tiger when embraced by a member of the opposite sex. But that all came to an end for the members of her family since Tohru had broken the curse on them.
Tohru Honda. The heroine of her family's tragic tale and the savior to the members of the Sohma family who were given no choice but to take on the curse. They had truely had no option when it came to who had been effected...all they knew was that when one member with the curse passed on...another would be born. Though those days were over after a very long time.
The now fifteen year old middle school student turned her head constantly to take in the all to familiar sights. Her short hair was up in two piggy tails today and her small, undeveloped body was dressed in a lacy pink dress with a thick ribbon wrapping around her torso. She had on a pair of white sandles and small brown school bag at her side.
Kisa soon came to the destination she had desired...the tiger's area. Then she saw something that made her freeze...over near the picnic tables were a small cat...and a tiger. Her brown eyes became very wide when she took in the odd pair. It was so similar to what she had experienced first hand just over a year ago....when she had been the tiger of the zodiac.
