Sakura Sohma ran through the stores with thunderous determination. It was her only day off from work for the next to weeks. She was going to make it the most relaxing day possible! Ok...well to most running through a crowded mall in a pair of blue sweat pants and a tight white T-Shirt with the decoration of the latest band and pulse pounding music blaring in her headphones wasn't really a sign of "relaxing." Though to her it was.
The seventeen year old Kaibara Highschool student really just wanted to run away from all of her problems for a day. The fact that her mother had passed away a few months earlier, she had switched schools for her own convinience, and that after four long months of constant watching during her free moments she hadn't so much as caught a glimps of the lord of the Sohma family weren't really at the top of her list. Nope, in fact she was busy running from a security guard at the moment. Not because she had done something wrong, but rather because you really aren't supposed to run through a crowded mall. Although what better motivation for exercise?
Her dark brown shaded locks whipped around her face as the wind caught them in her dash. Her golden hue ords kept an eye out for any obsticals, such as the bench that currently rested in front of her. The teen moved quickly, using her hand to support her body as she jumped over the metal obstruction in her path.
It was strange. For someone who was such a fitness nut, Sakura absolutely hated anything that was considered "healthy" for the body. She would rather sit on her couch and spend the day eating candy more so than make a salad. Although she was very aware of her weight. Afterall she was a teen.

* * * * * Ah. The hustle and bustle of the mall. Nobumi loved it. Though, she was glued to the wall, pressed as far from the people around her as she could get. Mostly the guys. Oh, what trouble it would be for her to be turned in such a crowded public area. Ah, she could see the mayhem now. At first the thought made her smile. But then one memory of her mother's frowning, disapproving face shot the merriment straight from her. Perhaps that wouldn't be the most amusing thing, huh?
She paused before a certain store, stuffed full of cute and lovely baby things. Her smile returned as she lifted her hand to rest her fingertips against the glass. Oh, how she wished she could have brought Haku with her. But he had his little preschool stuff going on, even at such an age. Nobumi's mother insisted on him being in a learning environment most of the day. Kept him out of her hair and increased the likelihood of him making something of himself one day. All Nobumi cared about was that he was safe and having fun.
So she waltzed right into the store and bought him a toy. A little stuffed cow. It was a tiny thing, only big enough to take both her hands to circle it. But it was adorable.
She had just exited the store when a figure came soaring over a bench to her left. Nobumi hadn't the best of reflexes. In fact, she was rather slow if not in an absolute frenzy. So the most she was able to do before being knocked over was turn and stare at the girl with almost indifferent eyes. It wasn't until she was flat on her back with a stuffed cow clutched to her chest that she had any emotion on her face. A moment of startled, wide-eyed-ness before her calm mask slid back into place.
She lay there, staring up at the ceiling wondering why in the world she had fallen over. The other girl hadn't actually collided with her. She had only come close. So there was really no reason for Nobumi to be on the ground, was there? Oh, wait. Her boot was unlaced, wasn't it? That made sense then, because she likely would have tripped over that.
Yes, even in thought and piecing together things in her mind, she was a tad bit slow. She usually came to an appropriate conclusion. It just took her longer than it would others. She lifted her head to look down over herself, her white tanktop askew, her short leather jacket had saved her from most of the mess on the floor. But her short skirt would have to be fixed. The many layers of sheer cloth were lifted just a tad too high to be decent. She reached down with her gloved hand, the fingerless, mesh decoration catching on the cloth of the skirt and forcing it down. Her other hand, bare save for the thick leather band and a couple thin silver ones, still clutched to the stuffed cow as she pushed herself up with it into a sitting position.
She looked about her with her gloved hand tucked into her hair. "Hmm...Where'd she go/" she asked, seeming to miss the other young woman as her eyes wandered about.

Sakura watched as a girl fell while she jumped over the bench from out of the cornere of her eye. She was concerned that her actions had caused the girl to get hurt so she intended to investigate the physical safty of her. After getting the security guard off her tail.
She quickly dashed into the baby materials store across from her. She peeked out of the window as she watched a tall and fit man dressed in the uniform of a security guard run past the store and turn somewhere down on the other end of the mall.
A sigh of releif left her mouth as she calmly walked away from the sweet display of baby items. Swet dripped down her face as her now loose hair clung to her skin. She walked out into the hall of the mall and watched the girl fiddled with her skirt.
Sakura walked around the other side of the metal bench that she had only moments before avoided in her escape and came around to the front of the girl. Bending down, she offered her hand to help the girl back onto her feet. "Are you alright?"

* * * * * Nobumi paused in her attempts at standing when a hand was extended to her. Her head tilted to one side as she blinked at the delicate looking hand for a moment before she reached out to place her own free hand within, grasping firmly, before hoisting herself up.
She looked down, slapping her hand downward against her skirt, after releasing the other girl's hand, making sure she was decently covered before looking up at her attacker turned helper. "Thank you for your assistance. I'm sorry if I got in your way. I don't always see what's going on around me.'' Nobumi was simply relieved that it was a female that had almost run into her. Males had a habit of trying to save girls that moment and she likely would have ended up a cow.
Which was undesirable in her current location.
Dispite that, Nobumi shot the other a grin and nodded. "And I am fine. The bruises will stop hurting once they feel better." Her hands fell to her sides and the stuffed cow dangled from one cloth hoof at her fingertips. She glanced around once more. "I assume you were running from something in particular. Is the threat now gone?" Her golden-brown colored eyes returned to her new acquaintance. "I only ask because I have little else to do. If I'm not imposing, may I follow you?"

Sakura smiled at the girl as she pulled herself back onto her feet. Honestly it wasn't that the security guard was a threat to her it was that she just wanted to run. As she listened to the girl speak about the bruises that she most likely would have, Sakura cringed. To know that she had hurt someone was a horrible thing.
Although when she went on to continue saying that she wanted to fallow her around made her smile again. Really she had no destination, just that she wanted to get some exercise. Looking the girl's physical appearence she could tell that she had an intresting personality. "Sure! Although I don't really have any specific place to go at the moment...If you want we can walk around through the stores."
In the back of her mind she really didn't want to stay in the mall to much longer. She hated shopping unless it was absolutely necessary. Being a decendent of the Sohma family she did have money to do things. But she just hated spending it, especially when she only earned a fraction of what she needed to survive and dipped more into the funds provided to her by the family every time she bought anything.

* * * * * Nobumi shot a grin at the other girl when she was told she could come along. She did like company, and this was a welcome change. And someone she could place between herself and the rest of the inhabitants of the mall. "Thank you. My name is Tsuki Nobumi." And without waiting for a response, she reached out and took the other girl's hand in her free one and began to lead her away from their current location. So it seemed she had not been looking for someone to follow, but rather someone to simply be there. As a shield. Sorta.
Nobumi was careful to place herself between the wall and the new girl, making sure she was safe from the accidental bump against a male. This made things much easier. She turned a corner and paused, looking between a manga shop and a clothing store. "Hmm...Books, or boots...?" She aske this in a manner which would make someone think she was asking herself, but she turned her face to look directly at the Sohma girl. So she was asking for an opinion after all.
And she stood there. Waiting. Not making a decision this time. She looked for all the world as though she could just sit there forever, waiting for a response. But then something caught her eye in the clothing store. "Hmm...That coat has fur on it..." She mumbled. Anyone who actually knew her would know that this interest meant that if she went into the store, she was going to buy that jacket. But she was still waiting to see which store the other girl wanted to visit.

Sakura looked between the stores. Honestly she did not really care....although if she went into the book store she knew the odds of her coming out with a large amount of books were very high and with clothing...well she needed new clothes. She had been back in Japan for over four months and all she really had to wear were sweats...school uniforms...and the one gray kimono and it's accompanying obi that she wore to work. She had to get clothes even though she would often tell herself that she was fine with the items she had.
Sighing she decided to walk into the direction of the clothing store. She would work as many hours as she needed to pay back the family for the large sum of money she was going to spend today.
She entered the store looking over the items that were there. A section full of lacy dresses caught her eye. She wanted to try some of those items on. A memory flashed through her mind. The one time she had seen her family's head in the garden of the main house was the day of her mother's burial. She had been to upset during that day to really realize who it was though. But she swore he had looked directly at her....and she was in a dress similar to one of those on the display within the store.

* * * * * Nobumi obediently followed her new acquaintance into the clothing store, not letting go of that delicate hand as she reached out and snatched up the jacket she had had in her sights from before they had entered the store. She paused, looking over the lacy dresses that were the center of the Sohma's attention before she walked to them. She was not one for overly effeminate clothing herself. Her small skirts were the closest she ever came. But she did like seeing others in cute clothing. Pretty girls in pretty clothes made Nobumi smile.
She looked back at the girl, then back at the dresses before reaching up and pulling a dark lavender colored one off the shelf and held it up against the girl. "This one would look nice on you. The thick ribbon tied in a bow would be flattering to your waistline..." The cow-eyed teen said before some black leather boots with pink lace caught her eye. She let out a hum before releasing the gown into her companion's arms and making a bee line for the boots.
She knelt down, pulling her boots on and immediately finding her proper size, she laced the other boots onto her feet. She twisted a bit before a mirror, looking over her appearance before that small smile appeared over her face again. "I like these..." she said, removing them and grabbing the box. She moved on to some accessories, namely the earrings lined in little boxes at the check-out counter.

Sakura giggled at her new friend's amazed expression when she saw the boots that caught her eye. She liked them herself, although the pink laces weren't really her thing. "Those are pretty cute. You should get them."
Looking at the lavender dress in her hand she headed into the drressing room to try it on. After a few moments she emerged from the small room and turned to examine her form in the lavender dress. The lace hugged her slender form just right it seemed. The thick ribbon excentuated her waist perfectly too. Sakura smiled, this was the first new clothing garment she had really tried on in a very long time and she had to admit that it made her look good.

* * * * * Nobumi nodded. She had every intention of purchasing the boots. There was no question about that. But her attention was stuck to the bits of silver under glass cases. She was quick to point out the ones she wanted to the store keeper. A lovely new industrial bar, a chain that would run from the industrial to the piercing in her earlobe and an array of earcuffs and studs, black, pink and silver in color.
She was quite pleased with her acquisitions and had placed them, the jacket and the boots into some bags before the sight of lavender caught her eye once more. A little headband, with a lacy flower attached. Some delicate chains draped about the flower, twinking together when she picked it up. She turned to see her companion dressed in the offered dress and smiled, walking up and tucking the headband in place.
"See? I told you it would look good on you..." she said before pausing to place her hands on her hips and look over the girl again. "You dress like this a lot, don't you? Please say you do, otherwise it's a waste of your cute-ness."
Nobumi was a bit blunt from time to time. But when she saw an admirable quality in someone, she was the type to say it. She liked when she received random compliments and she was pretty sure others did as well.

Sakura smiled at Nobumi as she brought over the lavender hair accessory. She loved the dress and the accessory would only add to the beauty of the outfit. "I wish I could dress like this everyday...but I really don't have that many nice clothes like this. I'm thinking about getting some outfits like this. They do really look cute."
Her smile only brightened at the compliment from her friend. Honestly she did have her moments where she loved to be a cute baby-doll styled girl. However, she did have her rough edges as well. She had a love of jeans and tight t-shirts and hoodies as well. Although being a member of the Sohma family, and a servent within the main house often required her to dress in formal attire. Especially around the holidays, like now.
The thought accually came into her mind suddenly. She needed to get a formal kimono for the up and coming christmas celebration that would be coming up at the main house. Althogh she would probably just be serving food...she wanted to make a good impression on all her high ranking family members.
Slowly she walked from the mirror over to the back section of the store. There a pale blue kimono caught her eye. It was decorated with violet cherry blossom petals that were outlined with silver and a pink obi to accompany it. She couldn't help but smile at the lovely fabric creation. It was just what she needed for work.

* * * * * Out of pure curiosity, Nobumi followed the other young woman around to the back of the store, pausing when she saw the kimonos. She wasn't sure what her thoughts on them were. Some girls looked nice in yukata. But she...always felt awkward. Like it didn't suit her, being the half-blooded little thing she was. Not that anyone but her ever seemed to noticed. She looked so much like her father that she could pass as full-blooded Japanese any day. But...
She sighed, running her fingers through her hair and stuffing the stuffed cow into a bag with her new leather jacket with fur lining. Then she took a step forward toward the elaborate outfits. It took some time of browsing and wandering, lightly fingering some delicate embroidery here and there. But she did eventually stop.
She came across a lovely black and white yukata with a matching pink obi that suited her tastes about perfectly. She pulled it close to her and looked over it closely. It was an amazing design and very well done. She turned to look at her companion with a curious tone to her voice. "Do you think this would suit me?" she asked quietly, almost as though nervous about the answer.

Sakura observed the black and white kimono with the pink obi that went well with it. She smiled at the question from Nobumi. Yes indeed it would go with her very well, especially if she put her style into the the look. All that mattered was if she was going to be comfortable in the outfit.
She really liked the idea of seeing Nobumi in that kimono, it was beautiful. In fact it woulld play up her gorgous eyes. Smiling she took the kimono from her friend and took her hand gently as she pulled her in the direction of the dressing room. Giggling she forced open the door to an avalible room and shoved the girl into it. "Yes. It would look perfect on you. So try it on Nobumi."
