 ~ ~ "Don't you every show your shameful face around here again." The black rim glasses slid down the older woman's nose as she yelled at the young girls retreating form.With haste the girl pushed through the front door.Tears reaching the brims of her eye's.She could not hold back her tears any longer.She could not take it a second more it felt like it was a heavy weight on her chest the more she ran the less pressure was on her.
All that she understood families was a lie.How couldn't her mother care why does she hate her so much.Ruby ran that place.The only place in the world she felt safest the family's summer house.She knew they would never go there to look for her.Because they left that places behind with their passed to be a reminder of what could have been.The scene played the same as clear as day to her just thinking about what ignited the fight in the first place.Why did her mothers have to be such a promiscuous person.Why couldn't she just be her mother.It's only been a few days since she had been staying in the summer home and just being here put her more at ease, more than she every felt at home.
Ruby bit her lip slightly and could not resist the urge to flatten any stray hairs that were out of place.She never felt so alone before she was all she got and the realization finally hit her.She needed candy badly so she slipped her hand and her bag grabbing the first thing her hand came in contact with.The small bag was lifted to her lips and she bit down lightly pulling away the plastic and splitting the small ball in her mouth.Strawberry exploded in her mouth and she gave a satisfied moan and placed her hands on her cheeks. "Delicious!" She shouted and glanced around the hallway.A puzzled look quickly replaced the last. "Now where the heck is the gym." Today was her first day and already she was making things worst for herself.Ruby just closed her eyes and sighed. |
